Boy, they are getting big!!

They look great, and were moving around.
The doctor was a little concerned about my weight, and my blood pressure, which was high while I was there. I got a monitor to check myself over the next week--so far, so good!
He also said, with my age, and it being twins, that if it were him he wouldn't do an amnio or cvs (b/c of m/c risks,) which I loved, since that means I won't have to argue with my doctor to not get one. He did schedule me for a 1st trimester screen with one of the best U/S docs in the country. I also found out today, from my wonderful friend Maggie, that if they look, they may even be able to determine the sexes of these little buggers!

We were a little lukewarm about the doc himself, but I'm hoping he'll be better next time. I did like his nurses, and his office is really nice.

So, we have the big U/S next Thurs, when I will be 11w4d.

Oh, and he sent me for a one hour glucose today. Praying that that comes back fine!

The Heartbeats!!!!

After purchasing my very own doppler so that I could find my new baby's heartbeat, I found out there were 2 babies in there!! I was unsure how that would work with the doppler, which says you can begin hearing from 9-12 weeks. Well, as of last night I found out that there is nothing different about hearing two, rather than one, you just have to move it.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay on them long enough to get a reading, but they were much faster than mine--which I've been getting for weeks--and they sounded almost identical. They were a couple inches apart though, so I'm pretty sure it was both of them, and not just one. At any rate, I'll get a reading at the OB's office on Tuesday, but as of now I'm just so happy to say that I have confirmed that they are both still doing well in there, and my chance of losing them just went down to about 2%!! Praise God!!!
